“When you give false information, you tend to restrict the freedom of choice to others”

In an era where criminals can commit a crime against you from miles away and or manipulate you and the masses in such a cost-effective manner; no one is safe until this dangerous conduct, which separates data from its provenances, is corrected.
Today, communication ecosystems make it easy for everyone, trustworthy or not, to circulate all kinds of information within the Big Data whether it is reliable information or not. Others can access those publications from anywhere at any time and for any purpose.
When the source is in question, and the creator, publisher and or distributor (the “Originator”) are anonymous, it presents a real challenge to develop accountability and the probabilities of bringing faulty Originators to justice in a court of law, is almost nil.
When judiciary enforcement, is restrained, the Law of the Jungle takes over, and the laws and ethics of civilization hardly apply. Until such time when technology, protecting procedures and law will effectively regulate that hemisphere, you will continue to be at risk.
No human, robot and or computer can correctly determine, make educated decisions and or yield concrete outcomes based on incorrect and or deceiving information, regardless of what the matter in question is whether it is political, commercial, scientific, personal or others.
Photos, images, videos, voice, sound, information and or any combination thereof may appear to be authentic and can be manipulated, cloned and or structured to mislead. It all depends on the Originator’s education, integrity, neutrality and drive among other things.
Every amateur hacker can, at a fraction of the cost, clone legitimate websites. Sometimes the pretend mirror website outperforms the original and can achieve a better ranking amid search engines to perpetrate information and or identity theft, financial crimes, extortion and propaganda to name a few.
This exponentially growing mountain of information is a dynamic organism that comes in all shapes and or forms and confronts us with a real difficulty to sort the genuine from the rest and to determine relevancy before we can make any use of that information.
Higher ranking on a search engine is not an indicator of legitimacy; it just shows the strength of the Originator to utilize Search Engine Optimization. Don’t permit imperfect algorithms to determine reputability for you and do not rely on appearance, engage your senses to make that call.
Recognize the dark side of Big Data and be aware of the risks. Adopt investigative conduct as an inherent part of the process in the way you treat data. Be suspicious, identify the source, Originators and don’t stop until you prove that the information in question is or is not reliable.
Establish access to trusted content providers and experts in the content that is relevant to you even if that comes with a cost. The cost and time of making uninformed decisions is by far higher. Take the challenge and make only well-informed decisions, and never stop searching for the fact.
