CAPEX-WORLD CORP. announces the delivery of an Independent Assessment for a Canada-based developer concerning a multi-million-dollar, oceanfront-to-lagoon project in Placencia, Belize.
The work combined an on-site inspection (November 16–19, 2025) with follow-on research and analytical work performed in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The Assessment was designed to produce decision-useful findings to strengthen governance and execution controls, and it addressed organizational structure, construction status, feasibility, risk and performance management, operational readiness, and value-creation opportunities.
A multi-disciplinary team, including lawyers, supported the review of cross-jurisdictional legal and regulatory considerations across Canada, Belize, and the United States, including tax, civil, and compliance matters. In parallel, a sector-focused team evaluated hospitality, commercial, residential, and sustainability components, including alternative delivery structures. The developer has since temporarily suspended operations to support an internal reorganization and restructuring process.
